Too Many Rubbish Players?
By: Thommo | March 8th, 2009
Pendrey tells me after a week of training his views on my team. And surprise, surprise he’s got left-back pegged as weak spot. Anybody who’s watched Celtic for the last two years could tell you that.
The fool also mentions that we are weakest in the midfield and tosses up some Italian no-user as an alternative. I’ve got, at last count 9-10 central midfielders (and Donati, see Italian no-user). Give me strength.
So I might be breaking my own rules almost right away LOL, because I can’t accept the former Wolves man at the top level. LOL.

Second friendly must have been a Pendrey special, because it’s home to Rochdale for God’s sake. Might as well just have a kickaround in the park.
The following first eleven take the park, with Hartley out and Crosas in.
Boruc; Hinkel, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor; Naka, Broon, Crosas, McGeady; Mcdonald, JVOH
And we belt them 6-0 playing a standard 4-4-2. Goals from JVOH (2), Naka, Mick, Samaras, Skippy and an OG complete the rout.
These games are useless to try and analyse, everybody got 7s I think, so that should keep morale up until I give Nails his marching orders.
Just peaked at the regular season fixtures – ManU at Celtic Park to start the season. Happy Days!

semioli isnt a bad player mate, but probably a bit too expensive for his calibre, anyway if youre looking for a left back then try fabio aurelio from liverpool or cristian molinaro from juventus

Hartley has been a diamond in the rough for me in FM. Leads the team in assists and pretty much has dominated the SPL squads we’ve faced when paired up with Robson. I’ve sold Naka and have Brooon and Koki splitting time on the one wing. Hartley and Robson might not be good enough for the EPL though.

Wait a minute, I had to double take when I saw this. Pendrey is saying that Caldwell, McManus, and Hartley are better players that McGeady? And he says that Naylor and Robson are his equals?! I don’t what cyber Gary’s been smoking, but it’s time to get him to rehab!

Thanks boys, I’ll look at Molinaro. De Ciegle I scouted and he is not coming to Celtic Park, EPL or not.
